Dave Hilton, Consultant and Former Head of Exterior Design, Bentley/ Design Director, MotorCityEurope.com

During the past twenty years I have been fortunate to design a variety of vehicles for several international brands and studios. This has provided me with extensive involvement in dealing with numerous disciplines in the Design process including: Engineering, Product Planning, Marketing-Finance, Manufacturing, as well as Program Leadership positions in order to bring vehicle products to their customers.

As an Executive Designer at Bentley within the VW Group, I took on the challenge to bring the Brand to the next level. From 2000-2011, I successfully built and ran my own Int’l Design Company, after serving 9 years at Ford. Managing both the Corporate plus Independent facets of a Design Enterprise has equipped me with a broad, executive level perspective. I have long term experience in directing Design and Brand Strategy issues, plus managing the Financial and Human Resource concerns pertinent to a Design Team Leader and business owner.

In addition, I regularly participate in public speaking events including: Corporate Executive presentations; Journalists and Media; Live Auto Shows; Conferences and Universities. I am very ‘strategy driven’, and enjoy delivering my projects beyond the expectations, while supporting my Teams and Brand in the same spirit.

International Design is a people-intensive business, over the years I have been able to unite multi-cultural, multi-disciplinary teams to focus on one vision; designing the most compelling and appropriate products for a Brand and their specific customers.

Eligio Martini, President, Groupo MAIP

Eligio Martini took a degree in Chemical Engineering in the year 1977 at Politecnico di Torino.

He made an experimental thesis on desulphurization plants. After his first work experience in the cold sector and therefore with foamed polyurethane, in 1980 he joined Maip to follow the technical and commercial development of technical plastic materials.

In particular he focused on Ems and Bayer materials.

He used such experience, some years later, buying an injection moulding Company that was active in the automotive sector.

In this way he combined the practical actual experience of plastic processing with his technical theoretical knowledge .

He’s presently the President of Gruppo Maip, made of  6 different Companies that are working in the distribution, compounding and high-tech field promoting technical thermoplastics, innovative compounds and co-operating with prestigious technopolymer producers (Bayer, Ube, Solvay, Softer, Kuraray, etc ).
